KAERA Awards Michael B. Salwen Scholars Program Outstanding Research Paper Award Research Grant Program C.Rhee Scholarship
- The award has been established with support from Dr. Okhee Lee at New York University.
- Michael B. Salwen Scholars Program supports travel expenses for doctoral students, postdoctoral fellows, or junior faculty.
- This Program intends to intellectually support the development of Scholars’ research as well as professional mentoring and network opportunities.
To help Scholars craft questions, strengthen theoretical frameworks, and improve research skills, Scholars are required to participate in the AERA/NCME conference and the KAERA meeting at which their scholarships will be recognized.
- The C. Rhee Scholarship for Adult Education and Lifelong Learning has been established with the generous support of the family of Drs. Jihee Hwang and Junghwan Kim at Texas A&M University.
- This scholarship recognizes the outstanding research, teaching, and service provided by early career scholars and practitioners in the field of adult education and lifelong learning, as well as their growth, achievements, and potential.
- The scholarship aims to support early career professionals in the field by providing them with the opportunity to attend the annual meetings of KAERA/AERA. This will not only enable them to network but also gain access to professional development programs offered by KAERA/AERA.
- The award has been established with support from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the United States, and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea.
- The KAERA Outstanding Research Paper Award recognizes an exceptional research paper that addresses critical educational issues facing Koreans and overseas Koreans (including Korean Americans).
- KAERA Research Grant Program aims to support graduate students and scholars to successfully initiate or continue research in Korean and Korean diaspora education areas.
- By providing the grant, the KAERA desires to broaden the scope of Korea-related research in educational fields and encourage scholarly work on Korean-American education.
