On behalf of the Korean-American Educational Researchers Association (KAERA), the KAERA Research Grant Review Committee selected two research projects to fund in the amount of $2,000.
These titles and recipients are as follows:
Recipient: Dr. Jin Kyeong Jung, Assistant Professor, Texas Tech University.
Title of the proposal: Connecting the dots: Examining Korean American Adolescents’ Lived Educational Experiences
Affiliation: Language, Diversity, and Literacy Studies at Texas Tech University
Recipient: Dr. Minhye Son , Assistant Professor, California State University, Dominguez Hills
Title of the proposal: Korean Dual Language Programs (KDLP) in the United States: Reflecting on the Past, Identifying the Present, and Envisioning the Future of the KDLP
Collaborator: Jongyeon Ee, Associate Professor, Loyola Marymount University
A final project report plans to be sent to the Research Grant Review Committee no later than six months after the conclusion of the award period.
The KAERA Grant awardees are required to present your research progress or findings at a KAERA conference.
